This is exactly what my experience in DC was like, especially with my content-area administrator. Too funny. This is exactly what I mean when I say edudrone:
Yes, this was very funny. It reminded me of my friend's principal 20 years ago. The administrator had received his "doctorate" from a place called St. Stephen's Bible College that was actually a diploma mill. In actuality the poor man was functionally illiterate and would fill his written memos with "big words" he had copied from books. The words often had no relation to what he was saying. We'd laugh hilariously over these pitiful attempts to sound educated but now that I think of it from the vantage point of maturity, it was really very sad.
Isn't it funny/awful?! I had an admin who spoke entirely in trite edu-jargon. You could have a 30-minute conversation with her, in which she would convey absolutely no meaning. That's what happens in an educational system run by and for businessmen...
I LOVE THIS THANK YOU!

ReplyDeleteHilarious. This sounds like a post IMPACT evaluation meeting!!!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteI have watched this a few times and it is still hilarious. I would love to show this at my next faculty conference!
